Courtesy of Kockums AB Our competence covers high-tech design and advanced analysis of composite structures. Designing in composites requires solid knowledge of the base materials and how to make advantage of their full potential. It is also important to adapt each design to availiable manufacturing techniques. We have been working with composite analysis since the 1980´ies and have been providing technical solutions in composite materials since then.

We have a solid experience of fibre lay-up optimisation, which is a complex task simplified by using our ROpt concept. It has been successfully applied to such various structures as entire ship hulls (Visby Class Corvette) and composite springs used in cameras.

We maintain a close relationship to the Department of Aeronautics at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). This gives us access to the latest developments in field of fibre composites and sandwich structures. Further expertise in manufacturing of composites is at our disposal through close co-operation with FlexProp AB, a developer and manufacturer of composite structures.
